Educational Tours
The PaPa Simpson’s Farm Tour is educational, having been carefully designed with input from teachers. During the field trip your students will gain knowledge they can use for writing activities in language arts and acquire answers to questions in the areas of science and math. Disciplines on Louisiana history and geography may be acquired at our Louisiana Hay Maze.
What will your tour include?
The first stop will be an old fashioned General Store. This store is located in the historical house of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Simpson, the second generation of farmers on this land.
Next, you will hay ride to the farm animal petting area, crop section, animal section and aquaculture section.
During this time students will participate in milking a dairy cow, feeding baby calves, holding baby animals, feeding adult animals, and planting and harvesting crops.
When are tours?
Regular tours may be scheduled for Monday thru Friday in the months of September thru July and selective days in August. Each individual tour is based on the amount of time each group has available. This is to ensure us that every child will receive hands-on experience. Call or email us for available dates and times.
Who is Invited?
Everyone is invited to PaPa Simpson’s Farm!!! There is never a group too small or too large when it comes to sharing our way of life with you. If you are a small group, there is a possibility that you will be booked with another small group.
